Our Story
Velmora was born in the quiet memory of a wooden table and a summer afternoon.
Our founder, Elias, still remembers that day. He was ten. His grandfather had taken him deep into the woods with nothing but a basket of bread, a small knife, and a block of fresh-cut maple wood. They sat by the river, and under the rustling leaves, Grandpa taught him how to listen to the grain—how to carve with the wood, not against it.
“Wood is like people,” his grandfather said. “You have to understand where it’s been, and it will show you where it wants to go.”
That day, Elias carved his first wooden tray. It was uneven, slightly cracked, but his grandfather held it like a treasure. “This,” he said, “is not just wood. It’s a story.”
Decades later, Velmora was born from that story.
At Velmora, we don’t just shape wood—we honor it. Every board, every tray, every spoon carries memory. Not mass production, but meaning. Not perfection, but soul. For us, woodwork isn’t a craft. It’s a conversation across generations.
